Ron Francis just spent four years trying to rebuild the Carolina Hurricanes before the ownership change. It was taking too long.
Chuck Fletcher was the Penguins’ assistant GM under Ray Shero before going to Minnesota, where he ran the Wild for something like eight or nine seasons.
