SportsNet Pittsburgh Has Had Enough of Talking Head Yinzer Radio

This was pretty funny after the Flyers’ Game 6 overtime victory:

SportsNet Pittsburgh is the RSN out there and broadcasts Penguins games. It’s their NBC Sports Philadelphia, so, for comparison, imagine the admin running the NBCSP account telling one of the WIP hosts to kick rocks after a tough loss. That’s basically what’s going on here.

Double checking, it looks like the Penguins’ radio partner is 105.9 the X, which has Mark Madden and is an iHeart property. Poni is on 93.7 the Fan, which is the Audacy station. But whatever; I think you have to tip your cap to the admin running the @SNPittsburgh account. Poni is a nitwit, a moron, and a dope. He should be called to the carpet for his insufferable yammering over these past two weeks (and much longer). In an oddly-reassuring way, it’s nice to know that we’re not the only sports market dealing with insufferable talking heads. So we stand in solidarity with SNP following this spurt of yinzer-on-yinzer crime.
