Cutter Gauthier thy name is JD Drew! The #6 overall pick coming off the one of the best performances in World Juniors just forced his way out of Philadelphia in a move out of nowhere:
TRADE ALERT: We have acquired defenseman Jamie Drysdale and a second-round selection in the 2025 NHL Draft from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for forward Cutter Gauthier. https://t.co/sxQDDJRVtD

The Flyers got back a former first round pick in 2020 and a second rounder.
Not really the greatest return, but the Flyers apparently were told he didn’t want to play for the team and made it tough for them to meet with him at World Juniors:
Sources say Cutter Gauthier informed #Flyers organization he did not want to play in Philadelphia.

Apparently, Philadelphia had a lot of trouble trying to meet with Gauthier at World Juniors. Belief was he preferred not to play there, so Flyers made this deal https://t.co/pF9zyHcrOq

Something tells me this has a former BC player’s stinky mitts all over the situation…
Get the batteries!
Russ and Ant from Snow the Goalie will have Dan Hilferty on between the 2nd intermission which will be a must watch:
