Flyers tweeted this literally one minute before Eagles/Broncos kicked off:

Ellis came here in the Nolan Patrick and Phil Myers trade from 2021. He was injured for almost the entirety of his tenure and ended up playing four total games during the 2021-2022 season. Now he’s headed to San Jose with two years remaining on his contract at $6.25 million per.

The guys coming here are peripheral players. Grundstrom is a 27-year-old left winger who scored 3 goals and added 6 assists in 56 total games last season. He got about 10 minutes of ice time a night (EDIT – they waived him and we’ll see if he clears). Guryvev is a former 5th round draft pick, 22 years old, a 6’4″ defenseman who spent last year with the ECHL’s Wichita Thunder. We’ll keep an eye on him with the Phantoms and see how he develops.

We’d like to thank Ryan Ellis for his contributions to the orange and black.
