TNT Graphic Spells both “Pittsburgh” and “Philadelphia” Incorrectly

Get pumped for the April 24th hockey game between the “Pittsburg” Penguins and “Philadelpia” Flyers:

How does this happen? Is anybody proofreading these things? Do they just not give a shit because one of the teams is the Flyers?

Mistakes happen, for sure, and typos appear all over the place. Even the Inquirer put “Colombus” Ohio in a story recently, which is incredible, but in this case, you’ve got multiple sets of eyeballs on a graphic before it goes to broadcast. It’s not like Crossing Broad, where we’re flinging stuff up on the site in five seconds.

Outrageous!

FYI, “Pittsburg” is a real place, it’s just not in Pennsylvania. There’s a Pittsburg, Kansas, and Pittsburg, California. The former is in bumble F, near the Missourah border, and the latter is northeast of Oakland. If you rank the Pittsburg/Pittsburghs from best to worst, it would have be California first, Kansas second, and Pennsylvania third. Yinzerville is dead last. Can’t imagine ever living there. Too many Pitt Panther fans and Steeler fans and Penguin fans walking around eating Sheetz and Primanti Bros.

Go Flyers.
