Excellent move by GM Paul Holmgren. A bit Amaro-like, if you will.
Adding Kris Versteeg, who won a Stanley Cup last year and has 14 goals and 21 assists on a shitty team this year, is exactly the type of move that puts teams over the edge. The Flyers are stacked. They have one of the best defensive units in the league, a set of forwards where Jeff Carter- who may be the most natural scorer on the team- is like the fourth option, two solid goaltenders, and, for my money, one of the best coaches in the league.
Balls to the wall, Holmer. Balls to the wall.
We won't hold that 06.09.10 tattoo on Versteeg's arm against him. And this video of him rapping will do nothing but serve him well in his role as Carts' remora.
