Keep It Up, Nick Sirianni Can Hear You Chanting “Run the Ball”

Nothing has been more contentious this season than the Eagles media vs. the Philadelphia “Run the Ball” contingent. Nick Sirianni acknowledges that he can hear you, but he isn’t ignoring you:

Jalen hears you too.
He had a different take:
Jalen Hurts says he tried to not pay attention to the “Run the ball” chants from the fans: “They’re supposed to get loud for the defense, not us.” 😳pic.twitter.com/0DHFv1LZeO

Listen, I don’t want to say that Eagles fans are the smartest in the world, but once the “Run the Ball” chants started after Jalen’s pick six, the Eagles scored on a 64 yard drive where 30 of those yards were capped off by a D’Andre Swift TD. It was even funnier it happened right after this tweet:
Some #Eagles fans are yelling “run the ball” after the Hurts pick-6.
The Eagles RBs have 14 carries for 48 yards — 3.4 yards per carry.
Some don’t get they can’t run the ball.

The media HATES the “Run the Ball” crowd, but I think it’s because they don’t understand what Eagles fans actually want. We don’t want the Eagles to run the ball every single play, but instead more consistently and most of the time a lot better. Don’t just abandon something because it might not work. At that point you’ve only run the ball 14 times against a defense who gives up the second most yards per carry. You have a line that can still impose their will even with an injury. Through the air was working sure, but your last three drives were fumble, punt, pick six. Settle back in and:
RUN THE DAMN BALL!
