After Gross Penguins Loss, Flyers the Slightest of Home Dogs Against Sabres

The last few Flyers games have trended in a high-scoring direction.
The Over 5.5 is 5-1 in the last six and like to continue on Wednesday night with the Buffalo Sabres and their 3.35 goals against per game in town.
Even though the Flyers won three of their last four, they are a slight money-line underdog. They’re +110 at BetMGM, while the Sabres are a -135 favorite.
The Over/Under is right at 6 at bet365. Obviously, you wish it was 5.5, but a full six goals is still attainable for the Flyers and Sabres.
The Flyers team total is the bet to look at given the recent trends. They’ve scored four or more goals in each of their last four victories. Buffalo allowed four or more in each of its last six losses.
So, the easy way to go off of that is to play the Flyers ML combined with the o3.5 team total at +200 at bet365. If you want to be more a little more cautious, the Flyers ML and TT o2.5 gets you up to +135.
Buffalo’s biggest deficiency has been against left wingers and defensemen. The Sabres allowed the 10th-most goals to left wings and the seventh-most goals to D-men.
The Flyers’ defensemen haven’t scored a ton, or put a ton of shots on net this season, so taking a D-man to score is a bit of a long shot, but if you were to play one, I’d look at Cam York at +800.
If you want to take the more traditional route for scorers, Trevor Zegras at +220 is worth a look. Zegras has a three-game point streak with two goals during that run.
With Tyson Foerster out for 2-3 months, I’d look to someone like Zegras to take more control of the play in the offensive zone, even more than he already has.
To follow the similar train of thought, I’d look to some of the Flyers’ top players for a shots on goal SGP to take advantage of bet365’s NHL Super Boost. That’s for both New Jersey and Pennsylvania sports betting.
Zegras and Owen Tippett to have 2+ shots on goal gets you to +125. Each player to have 3+ SOG puts you at +340.
