Another Enticing Phillies Money Line Price for Series Finale Against Marlins

The Phillies have had a good road trip in Miami.
They’ve secured at least a series split and are expected to finish off the Marlins behind Cristopher Sanchez on Thursday.
The Phils are a -150 favorite on the money line behind Sanchez, and I’ll be honest, I’m surprised the money line numbers haven’t been higher all week. The Phils are a significantly better team than Miami, and while the Marlins’ pitching numbers are okay on paper, their rotation is not as good as it has been in the past.
Edward Cabrera is the perfect example of that conundrum. He was a highly-rated prospect when he first came up to the majors, but there haven’t been many overwhelming starts.
Cabrera does have at least five strikeouts in each of his last five starts, but he’s let up 22 hits during that span. The splits don’t look great either. Right-handed batters have a .280 batting average and he owns a 4.35 ERA inside LoanDepot Park.
And – you guessed it!
The Phils’ hottest hitter fits perfectly into the trends not in favor of Cabrera.
Trea Turner has a .429 batting average in seven at-bats versus the right-hander and he’s got three multi-hit performances over the last four games.
Alec Bohm fits into the trends as well. He doesn’t have a great history (.125 BA in 8 ABs) versus Cabrera, but the third baseman has six hits in the series, including a pair of doubles.
Turner and Bohm both have over/unders of 1.5 on hit props. You can also parlay the two batters to -150 to have a single hit. You can add the Phillies money line to get to +145 to take advantage of bet365’s 30 percent SGP boost on parlays of three legs or more.
The Phillies money line feels so safe because they’re 5-1 in the last six Sanchez starts. He’s allowed two or fewer earned runs across each of his last four starts.
Sanchez’s strikeout totals have not been as high lately, so for PA sports betting I would look more into Sanchez’s over/under on outs recorded at 18.5. Sanchez worked seven innings in each of his last two appearances. Ranger Suarez just cleared the over on that prop on Wednesday.
A win and a long outing from Sanchez is the expectation so that the bullpen is at near full strength for the weekend series with the New York Mets.
