Cristopher Sanchez is Pitching at Citizens Bank Park, So You Know What to Bet

The Philadelphia Phillies have not lost a Cristopher Sanchez home start in three months.
That stat is a bit skewed because Sanchez has only made six starts inside Citizens Bank Park since May 12th, but it’s still a notable trend.
In fact, the Phils outscored opponents 19-8 in Sanchez’s last five home starts. The only time the Phillies gave up more than three runs in that span was on May 29th against the Braves.
So it makes plenty of sense why the Phils are a -200 money line favorite at BetMGM despite the Mariners being one of the better teams in baseball.
I would use BetMGM’s Any Sport Odds Boost Token to weigh down the odds on the Phils money line a bit because it’s such a good bet when Sanchez is on the mound at home. That’s the way to go with PA betting promos and NJ sportsbook promos.
The Phillies are 9-1 overall this season in home games in which Sanchez starts. They are 23-5 at home, including one postseason game, in Sanchez home appearances dating back to the start of the 2024 campaign.
If Monday night’s gem from Ranger Suarez (of which I was very wrong about) is an indicator of success for Tuesday night, then Sanchez could have one of his better strikeout nights of the year.
Suarez fanned 10 Mariners over 6.2 innings while Sanchez posted six strikeouts in each of his three August starts. Sanchez’s strikeout prop is Over/Under 6.5 at bet365.
Seattle is throwing Bryce Miller, who is making his first start since June 6th, which is why his Outs Recorded prop sits at 14.5. One long inning, like the ones that Logan Gilbert had Monday night, could easily put that prop under.
Prior to his IL stint, Miller allowed 5+ hits in four straight starts. I would go after the Over on hits allowed prop of 4.5 to ride the trend and the Phillies’ resurgent bats.
Right-handed hitters have a .313 average against Miller, so this sets up for a big Trea Turner night. He’s got 15 hits in the last seven days, which is the most in the majors during that span.
Turner sits at -105 to have Over 1.5 total bases. I think that price is a steal. I’d also pay up to the -165 for the Over/Under 1.5 on his Hits/Runs/RBI prop.
For bet365’s Big League Tuesdays Safety Net Bet, I would use Sanchez 6+ Ks, Turner 2+ total bases and Phillies money line. That SGP sits at +275, a very solid price given the trends in play.
