Bettors are hammering Saquon Barkley props. Makes sense if you’re going by what he did in North Jersey last year, which was 17 carries for 176 yards and a touchdown. That was the game where he ripped off a 55-yarder and the Birds won a laugher, 28 to 3. Daniel Jones was sacked seven times for 56 yards and the Eagles ran the ball 45 times while only throwing it 15 times, so basically the reverse Andy Reid in terms of run/pass split.

Saquon hasn’t had a breakout game yet this season. The holes haven’t been as big and the opportunities have been fewer. He only got six carries against the Broncos and averaged 2.3 YPC in Tampa, so the recent trends aren’t good at all. They stink.

But bettors seem to be playing the angle of a second New York return, combined with the fact that the Giants once again are terrible. Statistically, they’re giving up 377.2 yards per game, which includes 140 on the ground. Both numbers are right around eighth-worst in the league, alongside their compatriots in misery, the New York Jets.

There’s a chance the floodgates do open up for Saquon, who is “due,” as they say. Anytime touchdown scorer might be a bit iffy at -160, but the rushing yards feels attainable if you want to tail. It shifted just slightly since the data was sent, up a yard:
