Excuse the Pun, But Betting Against the Colorado Rockies, Well, Rocks

The last three days of games at Coors Field have us asking the serious questions:
Can the Phillies play the Rockies for 162 games?
My god, this is awesome, right? Just betting on the Phillies run line, money line, and team totals and cashing tickets left and right.
The Phils have outscored the Rockies 25-12 and Thursday’s afternoon game should produce the same level of offensive fireworks.
German Marquez is the poor soul that toes the rubber for the Rockies in the series finale. He owns a whopping 8.78 ERA and hasn’t made it out of the fifth inning in more than half of his nine starts.
There’s one caveat to all this, though, and that’s that Marquez had his best outing of the season at Citizens Bank Park on March 31st. He had six shutout innings of four-hit ball in that game.
I don’t think the Phils will struggle that much with Marquez again given the head-to-head numbers against the right-hander. I mean, just look at how gorgeous these totals are:
- Kyle Schwarber: 2 HR, 3 RBI, .353 BA, 1.215 OPS in 17 AB
- Alec Bohm: 1 HR, 4 RBI, .545 BA, 1.363 OPS in 11 AB
- Nick Castellanos: 1 HR, 2 RBI, .417 BA, 1.295 OPS in 12 AB
Those are the main characters for your Same Game Parlay bets,
Bohm has hit safely in six of his last seven games, Castellanos has a five-game hitting streak, and Schwarber has a pair of series home runs, the first of which is still travelling through the Rocky Mountains.
bet365 has a 30 percent SGP boost available for Thursday’s MLB games. A Bohm/Castellanos/Schwarber 2+ total bases SGP sits at +375 before the boost.
I’d also look into Bohm to hit a home run at +750 because that’s an excellent price for someone with the H2H numbers that he has against Marquez.
On the other end, the Rockies struck out 27 times in the last three games. Cristopher Sanchez and Jesus Luzardo both cruised over their strikeout props, and another lefty, Ranger Suarez, gets the start on Thursday.
Suarez’s strikeout prop sits at over/under 5.5. The Rockies have the most strikeouts against left-handed pitchers in the majors. You could throw Suarez to have 5 or 6 strikeouts into the SGP mix as well if you want to.
And then of course there’s the run line, which has hit in the first three games of the series. I’d bet that over anything right now, and honestly, we might just have to bet the run line against Rockies for the rest of the season no matter the opponent.
