Flyers Face Blues’ League-Worst Defense For Second Time in A Week

The Flyers face the NHL’s worst scoring defense on Thursday night. We saw firsthand how the Flyers took advantage of the St. Louis Blues six days ago in a 6-5 shootout win in Missouri. The Flyers own a top-10 defense and are only a -125 money line favorite at BetMGM.

Well, the result seems pretty straightforward for the Flyers on home ice. I’d use BetMGM”s NHL Odds Boost Token on the Flyers ML.

The Over/Under is set for 5.5. Naturally, you’d aim to the over because of the Blues’ poor defense and last Friday’s score line. The Blues have given up at least three goals in every one of their losses this season. They’ve allowed five or six goals on four occasions away from home. I would immediately gravitate toward the Owen Tippett-Trevor Zegras-Christian Dvorak line for player props. All three players had three points each in the win over the Blues. They also had 14 shots on goal between them, led by seven from Zegras. Zegras is -170 to record a point at bet365, but Tippett is +120 and Dvorak is +140. I’d look into betting all three as straights.

If you combine the three together in a Same Game Parlay, you get to +470 before applying bet365’s 30 percent SGP boost. Tippett is the best target for shots on goal props from his line. He’s had 19 shots on goal in November and sits at a good price for Over 2.5 SOG at +105. Zegras sits at O/U 1.5 SOG, but he’s been hit or miss in that department with three games of 5+ SOG and three games with 0 or 1 SOG in November.

The only other straight I’d look into is Joel Hofer o22.5 saves. The Blues netminder was forced into 26 or more saves in four of his last five appearances. And if you don’t feel like tuning into a blowout today NJ online casinos are only a click away!
