Now is the Right Time to Bet on Nick Castellanos to Homer

I think we can all agree by now that the Nick Castellanos home run meme jumped the shark.
There’s no catastrophic event or high-profile celebrity death that occurred on Friday.
HOWEVER, Castellanos now has even more dad strength and that’s the reason why you should bet him to homer against the Pirates on Friday night.
Alright, alright, alright, I get it, there isn’t much logic behind it other than he just became a dad again, but there are actually some statistics to back up Castellanos as well.
Castellanos is 6-for-8 in his career against Pittsburgh left-hander Andrew Heaney and it’ll definitely be hittin’ weather at Citizens Bank Park now that the storms have rolled through.
Heaney’s given up four home runs across his last three starts and righties have more homers off him despite lefties owning a better batting average versus the veteran southpaw.
And oh, by the way, Castellanos hit safely in five of the last six and had three two-hit games during that run at the plate.
Castellanos is +350 to homer and -115 to have over 1.5 total bases at bet365. That’s the starting point for any Phillies bets
J.T. Realmuto is also worth a look for those props. He’s homered off Heaney in one of two head-to-head matchups. It’s a very small sample size, but Realmuto is on a five-game hitting streak.
I’d look to combine Castellanos and Realmuto total bases to get you to +275 at Bet365. If you wanna get wild and bet both to homer, Realmuto is +375 and the two players together gets you to +1800.
The game as a whole should be straightforward for the Phils against the lowly Pirates, who rank fifth in the majors in strikeouts against lefties. Ranger Suarez’s strikeout prop sits at over/under 5.5. I’d combine Suarez Ks with Castellanos and Realmuto to use for Bet365’s 30 percent SGP boost.
