Over in Play as the Jesus Luzardo Roller Coaster Takes Chicago

The Jesus Luzardo roller coaster makes its latest stop in Chicago on Tuesday night.
We’ve witnessed the good and bad of the Phillies southpaw over the last two starts. He’s struck out 14 batters, but he also allowed 10 earned runs and walked seven.
The good news for the Phils is that Luzardo carries some similar characteristics to Jonathan Cannon, the White Sox Tuesday starter. Cannon allowed five or more earned runs on four occasions and he’s coming off an outing against the Rays in which he struck out nine and allowed six earned runs.
The erratic nature of both pitchers leads you right to the over nine runs, which you can boost from -115 to plus money with BetMGM’s Any Sport Odds Boost Token.
Each of Luzardo’s last four starts featured a total of at least 11 runs. The final scores were 9-8, 6-5, 13-0 and 9-6, all of which easily soared over the pregame total.
The same can be said about Cannon’s July. The White Sox played in games with scores of 11-9, 10-1, 5-4 and 10-3 this month when the right-hander was on the mound.
That makes Tuesday’s contest a prime target to use bet365’s Safety Net Bet. You can get up to $10 back in Bonus Bets for your Big League Tuesday wager.
Left-handers are hitting 40 points better against Cannon, while right-handers have a .287 average and 10 home runs against Luzardo, who hasn’t allowed a long ball to a lefty.
The wind is projected to be blowing out on the south side of Chicago, so let’s take a risk here with some home runs.
Kyle Schwarber and Luis Robert are strong fits against the weaknesses of both pitchers. Combining their home run props with the over gets you to +2200 for the bet365 promotion.
Two other home run props I’d offer up: Austin Slater at +700 and Bryson Stott at +800.
Slater has five home runs off left-handed pitching and an .896 OPS versus southpaws, while all seven of Stott’s homers have come versus righties and he’s got a hit in four of his last five games.
Kinkead: I will add that if the Phils lose again to the White Sox, I’m moving all of my money into PA online casinos. Come and join me with a PA casino sign up bonus!
