It is the most Sixers thing ever for Tyrese Maxey, Paul George, and Joel Embiid to play together, but for a good chunk of the supporting cast to be on the injury report instead.

The Sixers are a 9.5-point favorite at BetMGM for Tuesday’s meeting with the Brooklyn Nets.

George is not on the injury report, Embiid is probable, but VJ Edgecombe, Quentin Grimes, and Dominick Barlow are questionable with an illness. Fun!

Regardless of which combination of players takes the floor on Tuesday night, the Sixers should take care of the Nets, like they have twice already this season. Both of those victories were by double digits.

Maxey is the only one of the Sixers’ three most notable players to face the Nets twice. He scored 26 and 22 points in those games. George had 14, three and two in his lone appearance against Brooklyn.

The big X-factor for handicapping this matchup, though, is Embiid, who put up 39 and 9 against the Pacers and then 22 and 14 against the Hawks in his last two appearances.

Embiid’s player props sit at Over/Under 22.5 points and Over/Under 7.5 rebounds at bet365.

The Nets recently gave up 29 rebounds to the Miami duo of Bam Adebayo and Kel’El Ware and were ravaged by Anthony Davis for 24 and 14.

Translation: the good centers are tearing apart the Nets at the moment. I’d take a serious look into the over on both Embiid props since he’s hit the 30-minute mark now in each of his last three appearances.

Obviously, Embiid’s presence takes away from the scoring potential of the other stars. With that in mind, I’d take a different approach with George specifically. PG’s assists/rebounds prop sits at O/U 8.5 at bet365. George cleared that number in four of the last five games. That number looks very enticing as of publication, and it might look even better if Edgecombe and Grimes are affected by their illnesses.

Jared McCain is the other Sixers player I’d look for props. There’s blowout potential here, plus a chance for some expanded minutes if any of the Edgecombe/Grimes/Barlow trio can’t go or is slowed by sickness. McCain’s props aren’t up as of writing, but I’d keep an eye on his points prop when it is listed. He had 12 points in each of the last two games.

Embiid 20+ points and 7+ rebounds combined with George o8.5 A/R puts you at +260 for a Same Game Parlay at bet365. If you want to expand on that, I’d add Maxey 3+ threes to get you to +400.

If you want to say screw it and hit the PA sports betting lottery before Christmas, Embiid 25+ points, 10+ rebounds, PG o8.5 A/R, and Maxey 4+ threes gets you to +2100 at bet365.
