The Best Bets for Falcons vs. Bucs and the NBA Cup Semifinals

It’s a bit of a slow few days on the Philly sports block.
To be honest, it’s a welcome break before we start overreacting about the Eagles against the Raiders on Sunday.
Here’s a hodgepodge of picks for Thursday Night Football, the NBA Cup semifinals on Wednesday and more.
Thursday Night Football
Bijan Robinson Over 35.5 Receiving Yards (-115 at bet365)
The Falcons are going to run Robinson into the ground for the next few weeks because he is their offense.
Robinson will carry the ball a lot on Thursday, but the receiving-yard prop is the better one to target. Tampa Bay gives up the most receiving yards to running backs in the NFL and Robinson had a 100-yard receiving game against the Bucs in Week 1.
Chris Godwin Over 41.5 Receiving Yards (-110 at bet365)
Mike Evans’ return is the big story for the Tampa Bay offense, but I don’t know how effective he’ll be after a months-long layoff.
Chris Godwin returned two weeks ago. He’s had eight catches on 13 targets for 133 yards in those contests.
Godwin is fully up to speed, and sure Evans will get some targets, but I’d wait a week or two to go heavy on Evans as the Bucs try to hold on to the NFC South lead.
NBA Cup Semifinals
Jalen Williams Over 10.5 Rebounds & Assists (-135 at BetMGM)
The Thunder are probably going to roll the Suns with or without Devin Booker, who is questionable with a groin injury.
Jalen Williams averaged 5.2 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game in five games since his injury return. He had eight assists and four rebounds against the Suns on November 28th.
I’d use BetMGM’s NBA Cup Odds Boost Token on Williams’ R/A prop. Even if the Thunder win big, Williams will play 25-30 minutes and have a chance to pile up the stats.
Stephon Castle Over 9.5 Rebounds & Assists (-150 at BetMGM)
Same thinking with Stephon Castle.
Castle averages 5.8 rebounds and 7.4 assists per game. He’s going to be on the floor a ton for the Victor Wembanyama-less Spurs against the Lakers in Wednesday’s late game. He had eight assists and five rebounds earlier this season against the Lakers.
If you want to get a little weird, take Williams (+575) and Castle (+875) to have double-doubles. The double-double pays out in a +6481 parlay at BetMGM. Worth a dollar.
NHL
Los Angeles Kings Over 3.5 Team Total (+130 at BetMGM)
The Seattle Kraken are on a six-game losing streak with a concession of four or more goals in each of the last four games of that streak.
The Kings scored 10 goals in their last two games against the Blackhawks and Mammoth, who I’d put in a similar tier as the Kraken in the Western Conference.
Gotta keep it simple and play the trends.
