Underdog Picks for NFL Sunday Games

Here’s a look at our favorite picks for Sunday’s NFL slate, including Texans at Patriots and Rams at Bears.

Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears QB: More 1.5 passing TDs

We’d say Caleb Williams has done enough to earn this pick. The Bears quarterback has been as good as anyone in the clutch this season, and he’s scored 2 touchdowns in 5 straight games. Not to mention, the Bears get to face a defense that is just not used to playing in the freezing cold, and the Bears have been working without heaters on the sideline for some time now.

Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams: More 0.5 interceptions

I actually believe the “Matt Stafford underperforms in the cold” trope is a little overhyped, but I’d be lying if I said the cold and windy conditions wouldn’t have an affect on just about any quarterback this weekend. On top of that, the Bears defense is very reliant on turnovers and is quite excellent at forcing them. Given the conditions and the team LA is facing, it seems unlikely Stafford will leave Chicago without throwing an INT.

Woody Marks, Houston Texans: More 62.5 rush + rec yards

Marks could realistically hit this total as a rusher alone, and he’s been perhaps even more of a threat as a receiver. The former USC running back is also fresh off one of the best games of his young career, where he totaled 112 such yards last week against the Steelers. It feels like Marks is going to take some of that momentum into Sunday.
