We Bet the Strikeout Props Regardless of Which Version of Jesus Luzardo Shows Up

Phillies pitchers have had their way with the Red Sox lineup in the first two games of this three-game set at Citizens Bank Park.
Zack Wheeler and Cristopher Sanchez both produced double-digit strikeout tallies, so that means Jesus Luzardo is about to turn into Cy Young on Wednesday night, right? RIGHT?
Despite his recent struggles, Luzardo had exactly seven strikeouts in four of his last five starts, and you guessed it, his strikeout prop for Wednesday sits at 6.5.
After Sanchez’s gem on Tuesday, the Red Sox now have the most punchouts versus left-handed pitching in Major League Baseball with 280.
I think you have to bet Luzardo to have Over 6.5 strikeouts. You can use BetMGM’s Any Sport Odds Boost Token to get that prop from -120 down close to even money.
For PA sports betting, I’d go right back to the Same Game Parlay that cashed each of the last two nights. Luzardo 6+ Ks, Phillies money line and Bryce Harper to have a hit. That sits at +190 at bet365.
Harper is one of the hotter hitters in baseball right now and he is one of four Phillies with a home run against Lucas Giolito.
Nick Castellanos and Trea Turner each have multiple long balls off Giolito, but Max Kepler has had the most success with three home runs and a .279 batting average in 43 at-bats versus the Boston right-hander.
I get it, Kepler hasn’t been great overall, but he’s got a hit in the last two games and he homered on Tuesday night. Maybe this is the start of him turning the corner at the plate?
Anyway, I think it’s worth taking Kepler at +325 to go yard at bet365.
I think you should also take a shot at one of the Phillies righties with a good mark against Giolito. Righties are hitting .283 with five home runs against him. Turner has the better value at +500, while Castellanos sits at +475.
A Kepler/Castellanos SGP gets you to +2200. Kepler/Turner to each go yard is +3300.
