The Philadelphia Stars held a fan vote to name their new mascot. The choices were Astro, Cosmo, and Blob. Blob took the lead immediately and never looked back, winning with 65% of the vote:

I can’t think of a better name for that thing up there than Blob. That’s you and me on Sunday after 48 hours of drinking, then deciding to order pizza and wings for the Eagles game and sit on the couch to watch seven hours of nonstop football. Once the Eagles game is over, those Sunday Scaries typically hit around halftime of the 4 p.m. games. You were supposed to start your laundry an hour ago and clean up from last night, but instead you sit on the couch repeatedly scrolling Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. Hungover. Laughing at bum fights and dog videos. We’re all blob. The inside of the costume probably smells like your couch.
