I’m still waiting for Kylian Mbappe to impress me in this World Cup. Yes he attracts defenders, but speed & scoring potential are not enough. You have to purposefully dribble w/ directive control, create for yourself, & thus be a constant actual threat to the net t/o the tourney.

Mbappe scored a hat trick in the World Cup final. He finished with eight goals in the tournament and won the Golden Boot.

Not good enough! That’s according to Alshon Jeffery’s confidante, who wants to see Mbappe “dribble w/ directive control,” whatever that means. Maybe she learned about high-level technique during her heralded time at UNC:
