Penn State Ranked Ahead of Ohio State in First AP Poll

Oh baby!
Ohio State is breaking in a new quarterback following Will Howard’s departure, so if you wanted to make a case for the Nitters ahead of them, that’s probably where you’d start. They’re typically loaded across the board, so it’s likely they continue humming along here. It’s just funny to see them ranked ahead of PSU after consistently beating PSU year in and year out.
Not that it matters TOO much, because Ohio State and Texas play in week one, and Penn State hosts Mountain West POWERHOUSE Nevada at Beaver. The Texas/OSU winner will be #1 in the country and if Clemson beats LSU, they should go to #2. The Miami/Notre Dame winner has a chance to jump into the top couple of spots as well. The OSU/Texas loser probably won’t fall very far, but Penn State doesn’t face anyone worth a damn until week 4, so they’ll sit pretty until Oregon hits the schedule.
