Alec Bohm and J.T. Realmuto Should Continue Strong Junes Against Sandy Alcantara

Alec Bohm and J.T. Realmuto are two of the 20 hottest hitters in the majors in June.
Bohm has a .340 average, .869 OPS, 17 hits, and 10 RBIs, while Realmuto owns a .333 average, .805 OPS, 13 hits and three doubles.
Those numbers are especially significant for the Phils’ series opener against the Marlins because both right-handed bats have sterling numbers against Sandy Alcantara. Bohm has a .370 average in 27 at-bats and Realmuto has two home runs with a .306 batting average in 36 at-bats.
They aren’t the only ones with great numbers against him. Trea Turner has a .351 average in 37 ABs and Kyle Schwarber has a .294 AVG in 34 ABs.
For most of the season, Alcantara’s been nowhere close to the Cy Young form from a few years ago. It’s not clear if he’s turned the corner yet because his last two starts came against the Rockies and Pirates. He allowed two earned runs on seven hits in 12 innings across those starts.
Only two months ago, the Phils chased Alcantara after two innings thanks to six runs. Bohm and Realmuto each had singles off Alcantara in that game. Bryce Harper’s home run and Johan Rojas’ single were the only other hits the Phils got off the Marlins ace.
It’s hard to suggest Alcantara will shut down the Phillies because of his season as a whole. It might not be a six-run outburst in two innings, but I think the Phils can chip away at the right-handed hurler.
You can use bet365’s 30 percent SGP boost this way: Bohm and Realmuto to each record a hit combined with Alcantara over 2.5 earned runs. That sits at +200 before the boost.
Alcantara’s allowed three or more earned runs in nine of his 12 starts. That’s the better approach than attacking his hits allowed prop of 5.5 because, strangely enough, he’s gone under that number in eight of 12 appearances.
Turner is the only Phillie I would substitute into that SGP (in case Realmuto sits). He’s got 16 hits and a .303 average in June, plus he has great numbers versus Alcantara.
Mick Abel’s on the bump for the Phils. He’s facing a Marlins lineup with the third-best batting average in the majors over the last week. The Phils own the best batting average in that span at .311.
Abel battled through a few mistakes in his last outing against the Cubs. I’d stay away from his props at PA sports betting apps just because of where they are set at. He’s at over/under 15.5 for outs recorded and over/under 4.5 for strikeouts. He could easily throw five solid innings and get the win. He’s +210 to record the win. That’s the only way I’d approach Abel because there’s so much more value with the batter props.
