Bo Bichette is Signing With the Mets (UPDATED)
By Luke Arcaini

Bo Bichette is not coming to Philadelphia. Instead, he’s going to Queens to play for the Mets:
The Mets lost out on Kyle Tucker on Thursday night, and immediately pivoted to Bo Bichette, giving him $42M per season for the next three years.
The Phillies met with Bichette on Monday via video call, and reports said the meeting went well, but apparently not well enough to avoid another team swooping in for that cost.
The Phils will probably pivot back towards J.T. Realmuto now. Their #1 option for the last month, Bichette, is now headed to their biggest rival after what felt like a done deal in Philly.
The Mets haven’t had a great offseason. They lost Pete Alonso and Edwin Diaz. They struck out on Kyle Tucker. Now, they have their third baseman for the next three years.
Update: The Phillies met Bo Bichette’s asking price of 7-years, $200M. The Mets swooped in the second that Kyle Tucker went to LA. I’m going to be sick.
You have to be kidding me.
