Bryce Harper Reinstated from 10-Day IL

Bryce Harper has been reinstated from the 10-day injured list and will be in the lineup for tonight’s series opener vs the Padres:
Harper hasn’t played a game since June 5th in Toronto. He went 1 for 11 after getting hit by Spencer Strider in the wrist, and the Phillies ultimately put him on the IL once the pain started to really increase.
It’s a much-needed addition to the Phillies’ lineup, which has been extremely hot and cold recently. Harper returns for a big series against the Padres, who are 45-38 on the season and trail the Dodgers by seven games in the NL West. The Phillies needed to tread water in Harper’s absence, and they did that, going 13-14 in the games that Harper was out. Now, they get their star first baseman back and healthy. Harper slashed .258/.368/.446 in 57 games before going on the IL.
Buddy Kennedy was designated for assignment to make room on the 26-man roster. Kennedy did not log a hit in the seven at-bats he’s had in 2025.
