Burger King Howard Eskin Rips Devan Kaney’s “Assinine (sic) and Ridiculous” Bryce Harper and Rhys Hoskins Report
If you missed it on Friday, WIP’s Devan Kaney reported that Bryce Harper suggested to Dave Dombrowski that the Phillies should bring back free agent Rhys Hoskins.
“Sources tell me Bryce Harper has been advocating for more right handed power and someone who could give the Phillies more emotional edge/swagger. I’m told Harper suggested Dave Dombrowski look into a reunion with Rhys Hoskins who remains a free agent. I’m told Hoskins is game to come back and finish the job with the Phillies. Dombrowski kicked tires on a potential reunion before ultimately deciding Hoskins is not a fit, according to sources.
…
“this all transpired within the last week, I’m told.”
This was widely circulated in a short period of time, a typical mix of reaction, analysis, and poo-pooing.
Among those discrediting the report was Howard THE KING Eskin:

This is so funny with the backdrop that Kaney replaced Eskin as Eagles sideline reporter. We went from B.K. to D.K. on the Birds broadcasts. And Howard spells “asinine” incorrectly, then correctly, then incorrectly as he uses the word three times in one tweet. We haven’t had a rambling screed from The King in some time, so this was refreshing to see on the timeline.
It’s also funny when you consider that Howard broke maybe three stories between the George W. Bush and Joe Biden presidencies. The King had great sources before Y2K, but he’s currently jobless and doing some kind of solo show on YouTube, so it’s not like his words hold a lot of weight these days. He’s getting cooked out there.
