Can Someone Please Give Charlie a Ride?!

It seems as if all great moments in Phillies history need to include some sort of transportation snafu.

First, Cliff Lee was stuck on a subway before Game 1 of the World Series, and now Charlie Manuel can't even get a lift to manage the NL to their first win in 14 years at the All-Star Game.

iFollo reports that Manuel wanted to leave in advance of the scheduled charter buses for the Tuesday's game. Others who had the same idea, like Derek Jeter and Arod who were chauffeured in a $700k Maybach (douches), scheduled their own luxury transport to the game.  But Charlie couldn't get in on that party, and was forced to stand in a taxi line with all the common folk.

iFollo notes that Charlie was probably the only All-Star that didn't receive some sort of police escort to the game.

Poor Charlie.

More pics after the jump.
