Chase Utley “Not Close to Being Ready”

According to the Camden Courier Post, Ruben Amaro said that Chase Utley will have his splint removed this week and began rehab exercises, but we shouldn't expect him back anytime soon.
"He'll start doing some mobilization stuff, but he's not close to being ready," general manager Ruben Amaro said.
Removal of the splint (speaking from experience) means that the ligament has fully healed and Utley can start rehab to regain muscle strength and break up scar tissue. If there are any docs who can shed more light, let me know.
I wouldn't be surprised if Utley returns sooner than we think. It's fixed, so it's up to Utley's rehab to determine how quickly he gets back.
