Curt Schilling Crushed for Revealing Tim Wakefield Cancer Diagnosis

Former Phillie Curt Schilling is in the news again. He revealed on his podcast this week that Boston teammate Tim Wakefield is battling brain cancer (edit – his wife is also battling cancer, just brutal), which infuriated many, like Jason Varitek’s wife:

Right, so the criticism is that Schilling was out of line to share personal and private medical news without permission. A lot of people already can’t stand the guy to begin with, so throw this slight into the mix as well. Some people noted in their criticism that Schilling himself is a cancer survivor (he had squamous-cell carcinoma in 2014), arguing that he should know better because of his personal experience.
