David Robertson Gets his First Phillies Save Wearing Blue Cubs Cleats

If you followed David Robertson the first time he was a Phillie, you knew in his debut that something weird was bound to happen. Wednesday afternoon, he got his first Phils save wearing blue spikes:

Well now David Robertson has to continue wearing the blue cleats until he gives up a run. I don’t make the rules. Like Bull Durham said, “Never fuck with a winning streak.” It works with the Phillies’ color scheme, too, so if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it. Especially after dominating the 9th inning going 1-2-3 with two strikeouts and a lazy pop up in foul territory to end the game. Between him and Seranthony we might be looking at a 1-2 punch not seen since Ryan Madsen and Brad Lidge.
