Forbes Values Phillies at $2 Billion

Got $2 billion laying around?
That’s how much the Phillies are worth in 2020, according to Forbes, which annually ranks teams in the major North American sports. Two billion would place the Phils 8th overall, just ahead of the Angels and just behind the Cardinals, with a +8% gain from 2019.
Interestingly enough, Forbes has the Phillies listed as the 4th highest team in terms of TV+radio deal value, behind the Dodgers, Yankees, and Angels. That’s a solid big market victory over the likes of the Chicago teams, Red Sox, and Mets.
Total revenue is listed at $392 million with operating expenses of $73 million.
