Pagan has to be careful going after cartoon characters on X, because last year he threatened to kill Blooper and was banned by Elon Musk. He had to make a new account and start over.
If you’re unaware, Grimace is one of many gimmicks Mets fans have leaned into this season. It goes back to mid-June when the McDonald’s character threw out the first pitch at Citi Field and the Mets went on to beat the Marlins 10-4. They ripped off a seven-game win streak and went on a heater to finish the month. It’s like Brad Miller’s bamboo, only in purple character form.
