Here’s the List of 27 Non-Roster Players the Phillies Invited to Spring Training

The Phils sent out their non-roster spring training invite list. The big name is obviously Justin Crawford, who will compete for the starting job in center. Keep an eye on Bryan De La Cruz as well:

Keaton Anthony, INF –The 24-year-old Anthony played in 82 games for double-A Reading and triple-A Lehigh Valley in 2025 and slashed .323/.378/.484 (.862 OPS) with 31 doubles, one triple, six home runs and 39 RBI while starting 74 games at first base. Among Phillies minor leaguers with at least 300 plate appearances, Anthony ranked third in batting average and slugging percentage and fourth in on-base percentage and OPS. The Fort Wayne, Ind., native was also named Phillies Minor League Hitter of the Month for May after he slashed .385/.442/.603 (1.045 OPS) in 22 games with Reading. Anthony was signed by the Phillies as a non-drafted free agent on July 17, 2023.

Andrew Bechtold, RHP – Bechtold, 29, spent most of the 2025 season with double-A Reading, posting a 4.26 ERA (18 ER, 38.0 IP) with 53 strikeouts in 36 relief appearances. Among Eastern League relievers (min. 35.0 IP), the Chadds Ford, Pa., native ranked sixth with 12.55 strikeouts per 9.0 innings pitched. A graduate of Garnet Valley High School in Glen Mills, Pa., he signed with the Phillies as a minor league free agent on Jan. 31, 2025. Bechtold began his professional career as an infielder after being selected by the Minnesota Twins in the fifth round of the 2017 MLB Draft. 2024 was his first season solely as a pitcher.

Génesis Cabrera, LHP – Signed by the Phillies as a minor league free agent on Dec. 23, 2025, Cabrera has gone 17-15 with a 4.24 ERA (150 ER, 318.1 IP) and 303 strikeouts to 154 walks in 312 career major league games (2 starts) with the St. Louis Cardinals (2019-23), Toronto Blue Jays (2023-24), New York Mets (2025), Chicago Cubs (2025), Pittsburgh Pirates (2025) and Minnesota Twins (2025). Since 2021, the 29-year-old’s average velocity of 96.6 mph on his four-seam fastball ranks tied for fourth among all left-handed pitchers to throw at least 1,000 four-seamers. The only lefties ahead of Cabrera are Aroldis Chapman (98.2 mph), Tanner Scott (96.8 mph) and Garrett Crochet (96.7 mph). A native of the Dominican Republic, he originally signed with the Tampa Bay Rays as an amateur free agent on Nov. 1, 2013.

Christian Cairo, INF –Cairo, 24, played in 112 games for triple-A Columbus in the Cleveland Guardians system last season and made starts at second base, third base, shortstop and all three outfield positions. A native of Bakersfield, Calif., Cairo recorded 33 stolen bases, which was tied for 10th most in the International League. The son of former Phillie Miguel Cairo, he was signed by the Phillies as a minor league free agent on Dec. 19, 2025 and was originally selected by Cleveland in the fourth round of the 2019 MLB Draft.

Dylan Campbell, OF – Campbell combined to play 122 games with high-A Jersey Shore and double-A Reading last season. From April 14-20, the 23-year-old slashed .375/.423/.875 with a 1.298 OPS, three home runs and 11 RBI in six games, earning South Atlantic League Player of the Week and MLB Pipeline Prospect Team of the Week honors. The Houston native was ranked as the best defensive outfielder in the Phillies farm system by Baseball America following the season. Campbell was originally selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the fourth round of the 2023 MLB Draft and was acquired by the Phillies from the Dodgers on Jan. 17, 2025.

Justin Crawford, OF – Selected by the Phillies in the first round (17th overall) of the 2022 MLB Draft, Crawford, 22, is ranked as the No. 3 prospect in the Phillies farm system and No. 54 prospect in baseball by MLB.com. The Phoenix native spent the entire 2025 season with triple-A Lehigh Valley, slashing .334/.411/.452 (.863 OPS) in 112 games with 23 doubles, four triples, seven home runs, 47 RBI, 58 walks, 88 runs and 46 stolen bases. His batting average set an IronPigs single-season franchise record. The left-handed hitter led the International League in average and runs, while he ranked second in hits (147) and third in OBP and stolen bases. Crawford was named a Baseball America triple-A All-Star and an IL postseason All-Star, and following the season, was named best hitter and fastest baserunner in the Phillies system by Baseball America.

Tucker Davidson, LHP – The 29-year-old Davidson pitched for the Lotte Giants of the Korea Baseball Organization in 2025, going 10-5 with a 3.65 ERA (50 ER, 123.1 IP), 119 strikeouts and 48 walks in 22 starts before finishing the season in the Milwaukee Brewers organization. A native of Amarillo, Texas, he has made 56 major league appearances (17 starts) in his career for the Atlanta Braves (2020-22), Los Angeles Angels (2022-23), Kansas City Royals (2023) and Baltimore Orioles (2024). Davidson was originally selected by the Braves in the 19th round of the 2016 MLB Draft, and he has posted a 3.28 ERA (228 ER, 625.1 IP) in 148 career minor league games (104 starts). He signed with the Phillies as a minor league free agent on Jan. 2, 2026.

Bryan De La Cruz, OF – De La Cruz, 29, has played 491 major league games over the last five seasons with the Atlanta Braves (2025), Pittsburgh Pirates (2024) and Miami Marlins (2021-24), slashing .251/.295/.402 for his career. Last season, he appeared in 16 games with the Braves to start the year and played 102 minor league games between both Atlanta and the New York Yankees’ triple-A clubs. Following the season, De La Cruz was named Dominican Winter League MVP after slashing .301/.372/.515 in 44 games for Toros del Este and leading the league with 40 RBI. The Dominican Republic native was originally signed by the Houston Astros as an amateur free agent on Sept. 24, 2013, and signed a minor league contract with the Phillies on Nov. 6, 2025.

Carson DeMartini, INF – DeMartini, 23, played in 119 games with high-A Jersey Shore and double-A Reading last season and combined for a .237/.340/.367 slash line with 20 doubles, four triples, 10 home runs and an 11.3 percent walk rate (59 BB, 521 PA). His 59 walks were tied for the seventh-most among Phillies minor leaguers. The Bakersfield, Calif., native was originally selected by the Phillies in the fourth round of the 2024 MLB Draft.

Aroon Escobar, INF –A Florida State League All-Star and Phillies Co-Minor League Hitter of the Month for April in 2025, Escobar played 120 games across three levels in the Phillies system. The 21-year-old combined to post a .270/.361/.413 (.774 OPS) slash line with 13 doubles, four triples and 15 home runs. Among FSL players with at least 300 plate appearances, Escobar ranked third in batting average (.285) and slugging percentage (.452), fifth in OPS (.829) and seventh in on-base percentage (.377). Following the season, Escobar was ranked as the No. 4 prospect in the Phillies system by Baseball America.The Venezuela native was signed by the Phillies as an amateur free agent on Jan. 15, 2022.

Jonathan Hernández, RHP – Hernández, 29, has gone 13-8 with a 4.29 ERA (73 ER, 153.0 IP) and 150 strikeouts to 81 walks in 127 career games (3 starts) for the Texas Rangers (2019-24) and Seattle Mariners (2024). From 2019-2024, the Memphis, Tenn., native’s average velocity of 97.4 mph on his sinker ranked 10th out of the 187 pitchers to throw at least 1,000 sinkers. He made 12 appearances (1 start) for triple-A Durham in the Tampa Bay Rays organization in 2025, posting a 2.25 ERA (3 ER, 12.0 IP). Originally signed by the Rangers as an amateur free agent on Jan. 30, 2013, Hernández signed with the Phillies as a minor league free agent on Dec. 16, 2025.

Kehden Hettiger, C –Hettiger, 21, played 100 games last season for single-A Clearwater, high-A Jersey Shore and double-A Reading and slashed .218/.322/.365 (.687 OPS) with 21 doubles, two triples and nine home runs. The Los Angeles, Calif., native posted a 13.1 percent walk rate (54 BB, 413 PA), which ranked eighth among all qualified Phillies minor leaguers, and threw out 32 of 117 attempted base stealers (27.3%). Baseball America ranked him as the best defensive catcher in the Phillies system. Hettiger was selected by the Phillies in the 11th round of the 2023 MLB Draft.

Mark Kolozsvary, C –The 30-year-old Kolozsvary has played in 11 major league games for the Cincinnati Reds (2022) and Baltimore Orioles (2023), slashing .200/.238/.450 in 21 plate appearances. The Tavares, Fla., native spent last season in the Boston Red Sox system and played in 30 games for double-A Portland and triple-A Worcester before being placed on the injured list for the remainder of the season. He slashed .253/.336/.495 (.831 OPS) with 13 extra-base hits and 17 RBI. A veteran of eight minor league seasons, Kolozsvary has played in 382 games and slashed .213/.323/.354 in 1401 plate appearances. He was originally selected by the Reds in the seventh round of the 2017 MLB Draft and signed a minor league contract with the Phillies on Dec. 26, 2025.

Tim Mayza, LHP – Claimed off waivers by Philadelphia from the Pittsburgh Pirates on Aug. 31, 2025, the 34-year-old Mayza has gone 20-9 with a 3.87 ERA (137 ER, 318.1 IP) and 319 strikeouts to 104 walks in 382 career relief appearances with the Toronto Blue Jays (2017-19; 21-24), New York Yankees (2024), Pirates (2025) and Phillies (2025). The Allentown, Pa., native ranks fourth in ground ball rate (53.6%) and seventh in walk rate (7.9%) among the 22 left-handed relievers to throw at least 300.0 innings since 2018. Originally selected by Toronto in the 12th round of the 2013 MLB Draft, Mayza graduated from Upper Perkiomen High School and Millersville University.

Paul McIntosh, C –McIntosh, 28, was a non-roster invitee to Phillies major league spring training in 2025 and spent the season with high-A Jersey Shore, double-A Reading and triple-A Lehigh Valley. He combined for a .259/.356/.435 slash line (.791 OPS) and made 44 starts behind the plate. The Atlanta native was acquired from the Miami Marlins with Jesús Luzardo on Dec. 22, 2024, and was originally signed by the Marlins as a non-drafted free agent on July 24, 2021.

Michael Mercado, RHP – The 26-year-old Mercado pitched in eight games (2 starts) for the Phillies over the last two seasons. Acquired from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for Adam Leverett and cash considerations on Nov. 6, 2023, the Greenville, S.C., native has gone 9-2 with a 3.11 ERA (41 ER, 118.2 IP), 117 strikeouts and 64 walks in 74 games (10 starts) for triple-A Lehigh Valley since joining the Phillies organization. The IronPigs pitcher of the year in 2024, Mercado was originally selected by the Rays in the second round of the 2017 MLB Draft.

Aidan Miller, INF – Miller, 21, is ranked by Baseball America as the Phillies’ top prospect and by MLB.com as the No. 32 overall prospect in baseball. He played 108 games with double-A Reading last year before finishing the season with triple-A Lehigh Valley, combining to slash .264/.392/.433 in 116 contests. Named an Eastern League postseason All-Star, Miller led the league in walks (73) and stolen bases (52), while ranking second in runs (74), third in OBP (.382), seventh in OPS (.809), tied for eighth in doubles (25) and ninth in extra-base hits (40). Following the season, he was rated as having the best strike-zone discipline in the Phillies system by Baseball America. The Dunedin, Fla., native was selected 27th overall by the Phillies in the 2023 MLB Draft.

Dante Nori, OF – The Phillies’ first-round selection (27th overall) in the 2024 MLB Draft played 125 games last season between single-A Clearwater, high-A Jersey Shore and double-A Reading, combining to slash .261/.361/.372. In 109 games with Clearwater, the 21-year-old Nori ranked second in the Florida State League in triples (11), third in hits (111) and total bases (161), sixth in runs (63), seventh in OBP (.363), OPS (.744), walks (66) and stolen bases (37), ninth in SLG (.381) and tied for ninth in extra-base hits (31). The Toronto, Ontario, Canada, native is ranked as the No. 6 prospect in the Phillies organization by both MLB.com and Baseball America.

Liover Peguero, INF – The 25-year-old Peguero appeared in 33 games with the Pittsburgh Pirates last season and 75 games with triple-A Indianapolis. The Dominican Republic native was originally signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks as an amateur free agent on July 2, 2017, and has slashed .227/.278/.368 in 96 career games with the Pirates from 2022-25. Defensively for his major league career, Peguero has played 59 games at shortstop, 38 games at second base and nine games at first base. He signed a minor league contract with the Phillies on Nov. 19, 2025.

René Pinto, C –The 29-year-old Pinto played in 64 games for the Arizona Complex League Diamondbacks, triple-A Reno and triple-A Buffalo in the Diamondbacks and Toronto Blue Jays systems last season. He combined for a .259/.309/.498 (.807 OPS) slash line with 21 doubles, 12 home runs and 47 RBI in 259 plate appearances. A veteran of 11 minor league seasons, Pinto also played 83 games for the Tampa Bay Rays from 2022-24 and slashed .231/.263/.404 in 237 plate appearances while making 82 starts at catcher. The Venezuela native signed with the Rays as an amateur free agent on Oct. 1, 2013, and was signed by the Phillies as a minor league free agent on Jan. 6, 2026.

Felix Reyes, INF/OF – Reyes, 24, won the 2025 Eastern League batting title and was named EL MVP, finishing the season with a .335 batting average in 95 games with Reading, which led all of double-A baseball. He also led all double-A hitters in SLG (.572), OPS (.937) and doubles (34), earning EL postseason All-Star and Baseball America double-A All-Star honors. The Dominican Republic native earned a promotion to triple-A Lehigh Valley on Sept. 16 and combined to slash .331/.362/.562 with a .924 OPS, 34 doubles, four triples, 16 home runs, 67 RBI, 20 walks, 64 runs and 13 stolen bases in 101 games last year. Reyes was signed by the Phillies as an amateur free agent on Feb. 22, 2020.

Trevor Richards, RHP – Originally signed by the Miami Marlins as a non-drafted free agent on July 2, 2016, Richards spent the 2025 season pitching in the Chicago Cubs, Kansas City Royals and Arizona Diamondbacks organizations. In 295 major league outings (61 starts) with the Marlins (2018-19), Tampa Bay Rays (2019-21), Milwaukee Brewers (2021), Toronto Blue Jays (2021-24), Minnesota Twins (2024), Royals (2025) and Diamondbacks (2025), the Aviston, Ill., native has gone 24-28 with a 4.53 ERA (285 ER, 565.2 IP), 616 strikeouts and 250 walks. Richards signed with the Phillies as a minor league free agent on Dec. 11, 2025 and has a 2.96 ERA (101 ER, 307.1 IP) in 95 career minor league games (44 starts).

Caleb Ricketts, C –Ricketts, 25, will be a non-roster invitee to Phillies major league spring for the second consecutive year. A native of Newport Beach, Calif., Ricketts played 65 games between single-A Clearwater, high-A Jersey Shore and double-A Reading and posted a .275 average (69-251), which ranked seventh among Phillies minor leaguers (min. 250 AB). The 6-foot-4 left-handed hitter has played in four minor league seasons and was originally selected by the Phillies in the seventh round of the 2022 MLB Draft.

Bryan Rincon, INF – Rincon, 21, appeared in 84 games for high-A Jersey Shore last season before being sidelined with a left wrist hamate bone fracture from Aug. 6 through the end of the season. Defensively, he posted a .975 fielding percentage in 285 total chances in 80 games at shortstop. Following the season, he was named best defensive infielder and best infield arm in the Phillies system by Baseball America. A Native of New York, N.Y., the switch-hitter also played 14 games for Surprise in the Arizona Fall League after the season. Selected by the Phillies in the 14th round of the 2022 MLB Draft, Rincon is ranked as the No. 17 prospect in the Phillies organization by MLB.com.

José Rodríguez, INF – The 24-year-old Rodríguez was acquired by the Phillies from the Chicago White Sox on April 5, 2024. Last season, the Dominican Republic native combined to play 41 games with double-A Reading, high-A Jersey Shore and single-A Clearwater, slashing .297/.327/.361. Rodríguez was originally signed by the White Sox as an amateur free agent on Feb. 13, 2018, and made his major league debut in 2023, appearing in just one game on June 20 vs Texas.

Andrew Walling, LHP – Walling, 26, went 4-6 with a 3.97 ERA (21 ER, 47.2 IP) and 54 strikeouts to 22 walks in 43 combined relief appearances with high-A Jersey Shore, double-A Reading and triple-A Lehigh Valley in 2025. The Longview, Wash., native, who ranked tied for eighth in the Eastern League with seven holds, finished second among Fightin Phils pitchers with six saves and tied for second with 37 games. Originally signed by the Phillies as a non-drafted free agent on July 29, 2022, Walling has a 20-9 record with a 3.32 ERA (62 ER, 168.0 IP) and 206 strikeouts to 87 walks in 134 career minor league relief appearances.

Bryse Wilson, RHP – The 28-year-old Wilson made the Chicago White Sox Opening Day roster in 2025 and made 20 appearances (5 starts) for the team. In 18 games (8 starts) with triple-A Charlotte, the Hillsborough, N.C., native held right-handed batters to a .174 (16-92) average. Among the 148 right-handed pitchers in the International League to pitch at least 45.0 innings, Wilson ranked 12th with a 3.73 strikeout-to-walk ratio (41 SO, 11 BB). He has gone 20-23 with a 4.82 ERA (247 ER, 461.0 IP) and 333 strikeouts to 151 walks in 163 career major league games (57 starts) with the Atlanta Braves (2018-21), Pittsburgh Pirates (2021-22), Milwaukee Brewers (2023-24) and White Sox (2025). Originally selected by the Braves in the fourth round of the 2016 MLB Draft, Wilson signed with Phillies as a minor league free agent on Dec. 12, 2025.
