If You Think Bryce Harper’s Play at the Plate Was Dirty, You Might Be the Dumbest Person in the World

I don’t know how people with real eyeballs can look at this play and think Bryce Harper is dirty:

Bryce Harper, with a surgically-repaired elbow, was not trying to run over the catcher. He’s the most important player on the Phillies. Not to mention that he immediately checked on Moreno. But what was he supposed to do in this situation? Ketel Marte hung his guy out to dry when he spiked the ball into the ground and made Moreno have to shift up the baseline.  Look at where Moreno starts and ends up because of the errant throw:

He’s in the baseline and Bryce still pulled up trying to avoid him. If you think that was a dirty play, just admit you hate Bryce Harper. Because if Bryce wanted to clean Moreno’s clock he could’ve easily done so:

Ever since the MLB banned running into the catcher, the slightest contact becomes a dissertation on sportsmanship. If this was the case back in the 80s, Pete Rose would’ve been banned from baseball before he had a chance to bet on it:

Playoff baseball, baby! Who wants it more?
