Jury Duty sucks. Jury Duty when Jay Wright and the Phillie Phanatic show up also sucks, just a little bit less.
One lucky(?) group of jurors had their jury duty crashed by Wright and the Phanatic today on Juror Appreciation Day – which is definitely real – because the Phanatic automatically cheers people up and Jay Wright hasn’t turned down an appearance since the parade:

I’m sure it was cool, but after the Phanatic throws a bunch of juror forms in the air and Jay Wright talks about the importance of civic duty, they get to leave. You don’t.
When he's not writing about sports here or ranting about them on Twitter, Jim is probably watching X-Files on Netflix or drinking a beer somewhere. Jim has nothing against hockey, it's just not his style. He once met Duce Staley at a Sixers game.
