John Kruk is Boycotting the Sixers

Don’t know if anyone caught video or audio of this Tuesday night, but I saw this tweet flying around that John Kruk said he’ll never ring the bell at the Sixers game again because he’s currently boycotting the Sixers:
Someone needs to get to the bottom of this! Why is Kruk boycotting the Sixers? Is it because they stink and the future is bleak? Is it because Josh Harris bought the Commies? Is he a Verizon guy and doesn’t want to ring the bell in Xfinity Mobile Arena? The people need answers.
Now could this have been tongue in cheek? Of course. Kruk is known to say whatever comes to his mind during broadcasts and that’s why we love him, but this would be shocking if it were true because he’s a BIG Sixers fan:
Times have certainly changed, as Josh acknowledges:

How can you blame Kruk though? True or not, there are reports top-3 picks refused an initial workout with the Sixers. Is that because people see the dysfunction from far away and don’t want to be a part of it? Who knows. I have a ton of friends and family that are done with the Sixers. They want Ace Bailey for the rebuild. The rebuild?! We’re not even in a rebuild and people are already thinking of a rebuild! The championship window is still open (I think?)! If Daryl Morey would’ve been fired I could see the Sixers maybe leaning towards a rebuild, but he’s going all in because his job on the line. He doesn’t care about potential at #3 because he most likely won’t be here to see them hit it. He’s promising us that Paul George and Joel Embiid will be 100% by next season and trying to find a player that complements the two mega-contracts on this team. I promise you there is no rebuild talk in Camden. We’re in win-now mode. Most Sixers fans can’t imagine it, hell I can’t see a roadmap either, but that’s the reality right now. We’re all in the same boat, but the boat here is the Titanic and we just hit the iceberg. People are abandoning ship left and right. I think this guy lays out the state of the Sixers fan eloquently enough for all of us. I’ve screened my Sixers rep’s calls for the last 18 months:
