Mets Cleared to Resume Play After COVID Negative Tests

The New York Mets had four games postponed after a couple of positive COVID tests in their camp. During that time, the impeccable baseball product they put on the field was sorely missed (thick sarcasm).

On a more serious note, the team is cleared to resume play this week after subsequent tests came back negative, allowing them to get back out there and stink up the joint. They’ll play a doubleheader against the Marlins tomorrow.

Here’s an updated look at the National League East:

What a division. Just a juggernaut right there, with a bunch of awesome teams tearing it up on a nightly basis.

The Phillies are next scheduled to play the Mets on September 4th.
