Mets Fans Think the Mets Should Get a Parade

Mets fans think the Mets should get a parade for losing in the NLCS. God I wish they’d do this:

This is the difference between the Mets’ and the Phillies’ fanbases. We hated the second place ring the Phillies gave the team and they at least made the World Series. Then when they put up a baby blue pennant before Opening Day for winning the Wild Card we ripped it. Without us constantly holding the organization accountable they would do things like throw the NLCS loser a parade. And they’re still not perfect.

This is the same organization that let the leader of the 7 Line throw out the first pitch in CBP because they sold a bunch of tickets. They were going to let them do it again until a Phillies fan named Bennett stepped in and they turned it into an entire charity event:

That’s old news though. Can’t look back in anger I hear they say.

Need to focus on burying the 7 Line for this awful tweet.

Of course once everyone started tearing this apart the account went on the defense:

There’s nothing wrong with going to the airport to welcome your team home after a successful season. Only problem is that would’ve been good to do when the team, you know, flew home. This tweet came out almost 36 hours since they lost. Players probably had their flights booked to Cancun before the plane even left the LAX tarmac. Swing and a miss. The opposite of what the Dodgers did against your pitchers.

If Grimace, Hawk Tuah, OMG, and a playoff pumpkin weren’t enough to clown the 2024 Mets, this should be the final nail in the coffin. Throwing a parade for a loss in the NLCS would be just as bad as practicing a World Series celebration in Spring Training:
