Bryce Harper landed in Florida late Friday afternoon and an introductory press conference will be held later today. Crazy. I still can’t believe this is all happening:

I’m excited. You’re excited. Hell, we’re all excited. But do you know who’s the most excited right now? It’s Phillies owner John Middleton.

Don’t believe me? Play back the video above and check out Middleton bringing in Scott Boras for the real thing like a total maniac. Have you ever hugged anyone like that? I honestly don’t think I have. It’s a passionate and thankful hug, one of unbridled enthusiasm, given by a man that wants to win. That needs to win.

In fact, let’s take a minute to appreciate that Middleton, despite being a billionaire baseball owner who has more money than I could ever even begin to understand, somehow represents all of us right now.
