Pedro Martinez Dictates How He Wants His Balls to be Rubbed Up

Lots of talk about spin rate and sticky stuff this week. Major League Baseball put the kibosh on foreign substances Tuesday afternoon, and that resulted in us getting this unintentional bit of comedy out of ex-Phillie Pedro Martinez:

He does have a point. If you don’t do a good job of rubbing the balls the way he wants, then he’s going “to do whatever.”

As an aside, remember in the 2009 World Series, when Pedro was on the mound and Yankees fans kept chanting “who’s your daddy?” from the stands? You could hear their disgusting accents loud and clear, through the TV set. What a revolting experience that was, listening to those people.
