Hey, the Phillies signed another over-30 white guy today.

According to CSNPhilly.com, the Phillies and Laynce Nix have agreed to a two-year deal, pending a physical.

Laynce's (get used to that spelling) 2011 stats: .250, 16 HR, 44 RBI in 324 at-bats. Not a bad bench (platoon?) player, but why do I get the feeling that Rube has more up his sleeve this offseason?

Meanwhile, in Miami, the Marlins have offered Jose Reyes a six-year, $111 million deal.
