It’s petty, but solid work, and some Phillies fans are wrapping charity angles into their purchases as well.

This brings a competitive advantage. The fewer D Backs fans that are there, the better the environment for the visiting Phillies. Seems pretty simple. You gotta tip the scales in any way possible, so buying tickets just to deny the home fans is a good idea. Of course, if they actually had a fan base, there wouldn’t be $20 tickets available in the first place, but that’s neither here nor there.
