Phillies Fans Watched Aaron Nola Get Totally Blown Up, en Español

Hope you brushed up on your Duolingo before the Phillies/Brewers game, because Verizon customers were watching Aaron Nola get blown up in Spanish:
“Bienvenido! Welcome to all of our English-speaking fans.” Oscar Budejen and Bill “El Gringo Malo” Kulik on the call.
The NBC Sports Philadelphia statement on the screen said “We are aware our Phillies broadcast is coming through in Spanish. We have alerted Verizon and are working with them to repair the issue. Thank you.”
Bottom line is that Nola was getting blown up no matter what language you were hearing. English, Spanish, French, Swahili, doesn’t mater. How do you say “gave up five runs before recording an out” in Spanish? Permitió cinco carreras antes de anotar y quedar fuera. Que mal!
Nola recovered in the 2nd and 3rd inning before conceding an RBI double in the 4th. He finished with five innings of 6 hit, 6 run, 6 strikeout ball, aka 666, the mark of the beast! In four starts since his return from the IL, he’s now allowed 18 earned runs in 20.1 innings.
It’s not great. The thought of him being out there in the postseason is a troubling one. You’re gonna have to throw Cristopher Sanchez, Ranger Suarez, and Jesus Luzardo, then you get into Nola, Taijuan Walker, and Walker Buehler territory.
The Phils lost 6-3.
