MLB trade deadline on Thursday:

Suarez has been linked to the Phils by a couple of insiders over the past week or so. He’s hitting the cover off the baseball this season. .898 OPS, 36 home runs, 87 RBI. He’s slugging .577 through 105 games and made the All-Star Game for the 2nd time.

Wrote Luke over the weekend:

Suarez isn’t necessarily an upgrade defensively at third base over Alec Bohm. Suarez has -6 OAA this year at third, and Alec Bohm has 1. Could the Phillies consider making him the DH, and moving Kyle Schwarber back to the outfield? It’s definitely an option.

You can also move Bryce Harper to the outfield if necessary. He’s down. He’ll do anything to help this team win. He’ll also tell Rob Manfred to get the fuck out of the clubhouse, reportedly.

Dave Dombrowski, the time is yours.
