Phillies Vibes High as Ever Following Aaron Nola Gem and a Postgame Fart

What a night! The Phillies blanked the Mets 1-0 with an Aaron Nola gem and then someone farted during his postgame interview:

This is what you love to see. The boys are feeling loose after a big win. You’ve got someone ripping one into the night and then laughter on camera. The division lead is eight games over the Mutts, who could only hit two things on Monday night – jack and shit, and jack left town.

For Nola, it was zero earned runs on three hits over six innings of work. He struck out seven and walked two batters, throwing 60 of his 94 pitches for strikes. It looked like 2018 All Star Nola on the mound, a wonderful thing considering the loss of Zack Wheeler and Nola’s rocky form, post-injury return. It was equally satisfying to see the Phillies figure out Nolan McLean, to an extent. They got him for seven hits but only plated one run, but the guy looked human this time, compared to the performance he put at Citi Field a few weeks ago.

Phillies win! Ring the Bell! Campanazzo!
