If you were pessimistic about this team going into the season I don’t know how you still are after a 6-1 start and handing the undefeated defending champ their first loss of the season. This is an All-Star team that hasn’t been shut out in 65 games we’re talking about. The Phils pitching staff took them to the brink before Jordan Romano (who stinks right now) came in and gave up a two-run home run in the 9th inning. He’d better buy J.T. a beer for saving his ass:

When will they learn?

Jesus Luzardo on the other hand was phenomenal! With or without Freddie Freeman in the lineup this is an incredible performance. What a hoss:

That stat line:

Through two games he’s 2-0 and has given up 2 ER, 7 hits, 4 walks, and has 19 Ks. Somewhere a Boys & Girls Club is smiling because they’re getting a new air hockey table!

HALLEJUJAH JESUS HALLEJUJAH!

Yoshinobu Yamamoto looked good, but the Phils got it down with small ball. It started with Trea Turner stealing third and an error from Yamamoto that scored him. It finished with the new daycare graduates Bryson Stott and Brandon Marsh driving in two runs. You love to see it!

We’ve even got guys bleeding for this team!

Saturday the Bank is going to be ROCKING! Open up the gates now! We’ve got a series to win!

P.S. Welcome to the win column, dorks!
