The following Phillies have agreed on contracts for 2025 to avoid arbitration, per Mark Feinsand of MLB.com:

  • Jesus Luzardo: $6.225M
  • Ranger Suarez: $8.8M
  • Bryson Stott: $3.2M
  • Brandon Marsh: $3M

Kinkead: EDIT – they’ve now also settled at $7.7 million with Alec Bohm, and $3 million with Edmundo Sosa, avoiding arbitration

Luzardo was acquired back on December 22nd, along with C Paul McIntosh, in exchange for Starlyn Caba and Emaarion Boyd. Luzardo was projected by Spotrac to make $8.6M 2025.

Luzardo will slot into an already-elite Phillies rotation that includes Zack Wheeler, Aaron Nola, Suarez, and Cristopher Sanchez, with Andrew Painter waiting in the wings down in AAA. Luzardo logged a 3.32 ERA with Miami in 2022 and a 3.58 ERA with 208 Ks in 2023.

No surprise here with Brandon Marsh, Bryson Stott, and Ranger Suarez. Edmundo Sosa and Alec Bohm are the two remaining players that still need to agree if the two sides want to avoid an arbitration hearing.

I’ll update the story throughout the day once we hear more information.
