NBC Sports Philly has been on the air for several hours now in the wake of Roy Halladay’s death and they’ve done a good job under difficult circumstances. They brought on Ruben Amaro, who recounted the times Halladay would text him and apologize for a poor outing:
That pulled groin game he mentions was Game 5 of the 2010 NLCS and it was the first time we saw Roy, clearly hampered in some capacity, lose his cool on the field. You could just feel how bad he wanted it. Rare player.
