The Marketable Mike Trout

Remember the nonsense from last week with Rob Manfred, Mike Trout, and the Angels? Of course you do. People became all fake-outraged when the MLB commissioner said that “player marketing requires one thing, for sure – the player,” which resulted in a long-winded statement from the Angels defending Trout as a family man and selfless baseball ambassador. Neither side said anything wrong or off-base and Trout asked everyone to “just move forward.”
So I find it at least somewhat ironic that we’re gonna get a closer look at the Millville native in an E:60 episode airing this Sunday:
In a rare in-depth interview @Angels OF @MikeTrout gives @Buster_ESPN an unprecedented look at the people and places that made him the best player in @MLB. pic.twitter.com/mse1HDCJuh

I’m interested in this. I don’t know how I feel about Sunday at 9 a.m., but whatever, that’s what DVR is for.
