Meet the Mets! Meet the Mets! Step right up and watch the Brewers defeat the Mets! Carlos Mendoza sent Phil Maton to the gallows with a one run lead in the 8th. That’s the fourth time he’s pitched in five days. You think after he gave up the third hit of the inning you might’ve pulled him. Nope. Left him in too long and Garrett Mitchell crushed a motherfucking BOMB!

Holy shit I needed this. I think most of the fanbase needed this. The Mets were looking immortal. Every time the Brewers would answer they’d answer back harder. Was this the greatest 89 win team of all time? We were actually scared! Some people were even throwing dirt on Red October in the middle of the game and the Mets hadn’t even won yet:

Getting the Mets is just awful for the Phillies. Their fans will negate home field advantage. They’ve got the confidence of winning 3 of four to cost the Phillies home field throughout the postseason.
